Opening Reception for Group Show by Gallery Artists

Our March feature is new work by selected gallery artists. Most of the work is representational in varying sizes.

Opening Reception for December Featured Artist Helene English

During December Helene English will be featured in our front gallery. Her paintings are so lively it is hard not to smile and chuckle about what story Helene is “telling.” She paints with very clean lines capturing things she captures in the world around her – pets, boats and even manhole covers! She will be here to tell her tales!

Opening Reception for November Featured Artist Scot Dolby

Our featured artist in November has been with us for 15 years. Scot Dolby continues to find memorable landscapes wherever he travels but particularly when he is looking for the perfect fishing stream. Come see his most recent work. We will be tasting wines from Bolivia.

November Featured Artist – Scot Dolby

Our featured artist in November has been with us for 15 years. Scot Dolby continues to find memorable landscapes wherever he travels but particularly when he is looking for the perfect fishing stream. His show, A View from a Stream, is inspired by great fly-fishing areas from Montana, Maine, Vermont to the Eastern Shore. As he finds a perfect stream Scot does not forget the beauty of the surrounding landscape. He actually carries that memory back home to his studio. His tonal style makes these discovered landscapes so serene. They seem to carry forth a surrounding calm that attracts the fish and the fisherman. The opening reception is First Friday, November 2 from 5 until 8.

This month Bishop’s Stock is featuring the work by artists who consistently offered new work to the gallery. It is a pleasure to group them together to show the diversity of their work in oil and watercolor. All live within 30 miles of each other but the imagery and subjects they paint are diverse but all with Eastern Shore feeling.
