Our featured artist in October is Michael McSorley. Mike is another Paint Snow Hill participant who is a “returnee.” After I discovered he and his wife had moved to Milford, DE in 2022, it seemed appropriate to bring him back to show how his artwork goes well beyond plein air painting.

Mike is a graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Science in Fine Art with Concentration in Painting. His post graduate education includes “Advanced Painting,” with Ray DeFazio at Seton Hill College, Greensburg, Pa. But Mike’s creative journey started when he was a child fascinated by ordinary, everyday objects he photographed and continued to draw through his student years. School notebooks indicated how he managed classroom bordedom with this fascination that still inspires his work and paintings in this show. Check his achievements to see all he has accomplished in Pennsylvania, Virgina, Washington, D.C., Maryland and Delaware.

His exhibit is here until November 1.
