Each February Bishop’s Stock’s walls pop with color and energy with Winter Abstracts.
Fine Art, Craft & Wine
February is the perfect time to welcome colorful, bright paintings for our annual show of Winter Abstracts. The positive effect this change of media and painting styles is the perfect cure for cabin fever. This year’s show represents work by gallery artists who use watercolor, oil, acrylic and mixed media to create mostly large paintings. Some works suggest imagery while others are totally non-objective. So far artists included in the show are Petra Bernstein, John Cleary, Abbi Custis, Kathy Daywalt, Scot Dolby, Angela Herbert-Hodges, Anne Holland, Nancy Mysak, and Aina Nergarrd-Nammack.
Just when cold winter weather wears on us, Bishop’s Stock offers color and movement with Winter Abstracts. The work will feature non-objective and mixed media formats in all sizes. New gallery artists showing are Abbi Custis, Tom Hogan and Phyllis Jaffe.
In February Bishop’s Stock gets back to new shows and special events. As in the past 6 years we will be showing Winter Abstracts to give everyone bright colors and energy to combat “cabin fever.” We are very excited to be showing new gallery artists – Abigail Grier Custis, Tom Hogan and Phyllis Gillie Jaffe – along with familiar names – Ed Challenger, John Cleary, Kathy Daywalt, Ann Hayden, Angela Herbert-Hodges, Anne Holland, John and Eric Nyberg, Hunter Nesbitt, Deborah Rolig and Maurice Sevigny.
Each year Bishop’s Stock welcomes a year of new featured exhibits with an exclusive abstract show. Among the artists are Aina Nergaard-Nammack, Anne Holland, Kathy Daywalt, Diane Hurwitz-Specht, Angela Herbert-Hodges, Barbara Hager, Bobbi Shulman, Ann Crain, Terry Cullen, John Cleary, Scot Dolby. Maurice Spector, and Maurice Sevigny. In the show are work on paper, mixed media and gallery wrapped canvases. Most of the work is non-objective. The show will run through March 4.
