April Featured Wines – 2023 Fess Parker Santa Barbara Chardonnay & 2023 Old Soul Petite Sirah, California

In April we are heading to California for wines from two wine areas and two different producers. The white is 2023 Fess Parker Santa Barbara Chardonnay. The late actor Fess Parker, aka Davy Crockett and Daniel Boone, ventured into cattle farming and growing grapes when he retired from acting. In 1989 Fess Parker Winery was opened in Santa Barbara. Today his children carry on the tradition. This vintage is made from grapes harvested from 9 vineyards in Santa Barbara County and is 100% barrel fermented and aged in French and Hungarian oak. It received a 91 from Wine Enthusiast.

The red selection is 2023 Old Soul Petite Sirah from Oak Ridge Winery in Lodi. If you check their website you will see we have featured Maggio and Blazon wines produced by Oak Ridge.
